VCOT 1/2017

In this issue of VCOT, authors G. L. Cole and D. Millis discuss limb amputation in dogs and the effect it has on weight distribution in the remainder three limbs following amputation. Although limb amputation is commonly performed procedure in veterinary medicine, there is a lack of quantitative date regarding outcomes. It was their aim to be able to provide more information on this topic, which could then also be used by other practitioners when evaluating the remainder limbs and weight distribution following amputation for potential issues.
